Dan Davies
- Induction:
- 2023
- Class:
- 1980
Dan Davies came to Montana State as a freshman football walk-on in 1975, but his Bobcat roots trace back nearly a half-century earlier. A second-generation MSU alum - his parents arrived at Montana State in the years before World War II - and lifelong Bobcat, he played football for the Cats from 1975 to 1978 and coached football here from 1980 to 1986. In 1988 he began a 33-year career as an administrator in Bobcat Athletics, and has called nearly 400 games as an analyst for the Bobcat Radio Network. Davies became the founding coach of MSU women’s golf team in 1993, and two years later the Cats won the program’s only conference championship. Throughout his life, Dan Davies has exemplified what it means to be a Bobcat.
