Kim Berg’s journey from small-school high school star to Division I All-America stands out in Bobcat history as an amazing example of persistence. Overcoming multiple knee and shoulder injuries she won four Big Sky Championships and in the javelin, including a thrilling come-from-behind effort as a junior in 2007. She was rewarded with Outstanding Athlete honors for her throw of 162-4 in her final toss of that championship event, vaulting her from second to first with that throw and setting up her perfect run of four championships one year later. Her ability to overcome and improve throughout her career lands her as one of the greatest performers in Bobcat history.
