Freshman Justice Lamer Earns Athlete of the Week Honors

Justice Lamer, a freshman from Corvallis, Ore., made a strong collegiate debut, running to a second-place finish at the Bozeman Running Company Invite, claiming Big Sky Conference Athlete of the Week honors.
He raced the 5-mile course in 26:05.80, with Utah State's Colby Wilson just edging him out by under a second. Lamer was one of two Bobcats in the top 10, leading Montana State to a second-place finish as a team behind Utah State and in front of Big Sky schools Idaho State and Montana.
Competing for Crescent Valley High School, Lamer was the runner-up at the 2014 Oregon 5A State Cross Country Championships. In track, he added a second-place finish in the 1,500 and was third in the 3,000 at the 2015 state meet.
Montana State Cross Country will compete in Missoula on October 3 in the Montana Invitational.
