MSU tops North Dakota after falling to Idaho

Dylan Harvala posted a perfect day as Montana State split a men's tennis doubleheader Saturday in Bozeman. The Bobcats dropped a 4-3 nail-biter to Idaho in morning before sweeping North Dakota in the afternoon.

A sophomore from Missoula, Harvala teamed with Rok Sitar to win at No. 3 doubles in both matches, and won a 6-0, 6-0 decision over UND's Eshan Varma at No. 6 singles. "Dylan really had a good day," said Bobcat coach Jared Burnham. Harvala didn't drop a game in the afternoon match.

Senior Harry James and Sitar, a sophomore, also won all four of their matches, including the only two singles matches the Cats won in the narrow loss to Idaho. "I thought Harry did a good job," Burnham said. "He led us today."

The Bobcats now stand 2-8 on the season, and 2-3 in Big Sky play, after Saturday's matches. MSU visits Seattle on Thursday and Gonzaga on Saturday.
