Air Force Tops MSU Men's Tennis Team 5-2 on Sunday

Andras Necz, Rayen Hermassi earn singles wins
Montana State's Andras Necz and Rayen Hermassi earned three-set singles wins, but Air Force topped the Bobcats 5-2 in men's tennis at the US Air Force Academy on Sunday.
The Falcons won the doubles point then clinched the team win in the first three singles matches, but the Bobcats kept the match close throughout. In fact, only two of the six singles matches were decided in two sets.
At No 3 singles, Bobcat grad student Andras Necz captured a three-set win over AJ Moore. Necz earned a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 win by taking the third-set tie-breaker 7-3. Freshman Rayen Hermassi took a 26, 7-6 (7-1), 10-6 victory at No. 5 singles.
Air Force's Alex Fritzinger took a 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 win over Andre Stewart at No. 4 to open singles play, then Arjun Kersten's 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 win over Bobcat freshman Dario Ciobotaru at No. 2 singles staked the homestanding Falcons to a 3-0 lead in the team score. Phillip Deaton defeated MSU's Max Relic 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 on court one to clinch Air Force's team win.
Montana State visits Chicago State for 10 am MT matchup on Tuesday.
