Montana State’s Anna Pryce placed eighth in the 7.5K classic on the final day of Nordic competition at the MSU Invitational, held at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center Sunday morning.
Montana State's Anna Pryce placed eighth in the 7.5K classic on the final day of Nordic competition at the MSU Invitational, held at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center Sunday morning. Pryce covered the course in 23:35.0.
Utah's Erica Laven continued her early season dominance winning the event in 22:30.5.
Also, scoring points for the Bobcats were Katey Houser, 18th, 24:18.0; and Rosie Whittington Evans, 22nd, 25:01.9.
Morgan Richter, 23rd, 25:17.9; Delaney Jackson, 25th, 25:57.9; and Sabine Comeau, 29th, 27:16. 3, also crossed the finished line for Montana State.
The MSU men were led by Gavin Galyardt. The product of McCall, Idaho finished 24th in 21:04.3. He was followed in the Bobcats' top three by Phineas Fischer, 27th, 21:17.5; and Joel Power, 28th, 21:28.2. Jack Conde placed 31st in 22:28.6.
Denver's Andreas Kirkeng won the 7.5K men's classic title in 19:09.9.
After the Nordic portion of the MSU Invitational, Utah leads the team standings with 380 points. The Utes are followed by Denver 338, Colorado 314, Alaska Anchorage 264, MSU 200, and Alaska Fairbanks 148.
Alpine races for the MSU Invite are slated for Feb. 3-4 at Bridger Bowl.
