Bobcat Women Guide Nordic Squad at UAF Invite

The Bobcat trio accounted for 74 points, the third highest output by a women’s squad behind UAF (87) and Utah (81).
Montana State's Katey Houser and Anna Pryce each posted top five finishes on the final day of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Invitational, placing fourth and fifth respectively in Nordic freestyle, Monday morning on the Competition Trails on the UAF campus.
Houser completed the 10K course in 25:27.4, while Pryce clocked 27:17.9. Rosie Whittington Evans completed MSU's scoring finishing 21st in 28:54.2. The Bobcat trio accounted for 74 points, the third highest output by a women's squad behind UAF (87) and Utah (81).
UAF's Kendall Kramer won the event in 25:27.4.
MSU also received strong performances from Morgan Richter, 24th, 29:39.7, Delaney Jackson, 25th, 29:40.8, and Maeve MacLead, 27th, 30:24.4.
The Montana State men were led by Grey Barbier, who finished 23rd in 25:22.3. He was followed by Phineas Fischer, 29th, 25:37.9, and Joel Power, 30th, 25:38.9.
Denver won the UAF Invitational team title posting 345 points. The Pioneers were followed by Utah 307, UAF 291.5, Colorado 291.5, Alaska Anchorage 250.5, and MSU 232.
The Bobcats will remain in Alaska as its alpine team finishes the UAA Invitational with giant slalom on Wednesday and slalom, Friday. Both MSU alpine and Nordic teams compete in the RMISA Championships Feb. 20-22 in Anchorage.
