Lamontagne Captures Second First Team All-America Honor

Lamontagne finished just .65-seconds behind Denver’s Sara Rask, who also took the national slalom title in 1:56.23.
Montana State junior Justine Lamontagne captured her second First Team All-America honor at the 72nd Annual NCAA Skiing Championships after finishing runner-up in giant slalom on Friday afternoon.
The product on Mont Sainte-Anne, Quebec recorded a two-run total of 1:56.88. Her opening run was the third fastest, while her second go was second best. Lamontagne finished just .65-seconds behind Denver's Sara Rask, who also took the national slalom title in 1:56.23.
Also, scoring points for the Bobcats were Tea Kiesel, 22nd, 2:00.04, and Ylva Falksete, 30th, 2:02.13.
The Bobcat men were led by Gianluca Boehm. The native of Samedan, Switzerland had a two-run total of 1:54.99. His second run of 1:00.24 was the tenth fastest time of the second heat. Isak Staurset posted a two-run time of 1:55.42. His second run was ninth best and moved him up three spots from his opening run.
Jamie Casselman did not finish his first run.
Utah's Josh Herland won the men's GS title in 1:53.35.
Utah took over the team standings with just the Nordic freestyle remaining on Saturday morning. The Utes have totaled 417 points, followed in the top 10 by Colorado 382, Dartmouth 380, Vermont 308, Denver 284, Alaska Anchorage 204, Middlebury 184.5, New Hampshire 173, Montana State 156, and Colby 103.
