Seidl joins the Bobcats after two seasons with NCAA Regional regular Tulsa
BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Montana State golf head coach Brittany Basye announced the signing of transfer Norah Seidl on Friday.
Seidl will be a junior at Montana State in 2025-26 after two years at Tulsa and bolsters a Bobcat group in Bozeman that is coming off the best season in school history.
The native of Austria appeared in ten tournaments during her time with the Golden Hurricanes and was a member of the team that won the 2025 American Athletic Conference championship this past season.
During Seidl's two seasons in the Sooner State, Tulsa appeared in two NCAA Regionals and advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2024.
"Norah is exactly the type of person and player we want to be part of our program," Basye said. "She brings top-notch experience from her time at Tulsa and knows what it takes to win. She's got a great golf swing and brings Division I experience that we were looking for. Playing at Tulsa and being around a winning culture is huge!"
As a sophomore in 2024-25, Seidl appeared in four tournaments and finished with a scoring average of 79.4 over 11 rounds, including a round of 73 at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
As a freshman in 2023-24, Seidl appeared in six tournaments and finished with a scoring average of 77.2 over 18 rounds played. In the fall alone, Seidl held a stroke average of 74.8 across six rounds.
Prior to arriving in the United States, Seidl won the 2022 Slovenian Amateur (73-75-72) and finished second at the 2022 Austrian Women's PGA Championship (77-70-78).
"She values her studies and wants to be part of a winning culture," Basye said. "We are very happy to welcome Norah to the Bobcat Golf Family!"
Montana State is coming off a season which included school records for four-player scoring average (295.92), individual scoring average (Lauren Greeny, 72.64), five individual tournament wins in nine stroke play tournaments, their third-ever Big Sky champion ever (Maddie Montoya), and their first-ever appearance in the NCAA postseason.
The Cats return three important pieces from last year in seniors First Team All-Big Sky selection Lauren Greeny and 2025 Big Sky Champion Maddie Montoya, plus rising junior Eva Heinz.
Additionally, four incoming freshmen bolster the ranks: Peyton DeBruin (Houston, TX), Lauren Nau (Scottsdale, AZ), Sailor Graham (Malibu, CA), and Ashleigh Wilson (Highlands Ranch, CO).
