Bobcat Sophomore Yassin Elaroussy Wins at Top Ladder Position, Pilots Top MSU at Portland

Elaroussy wins in debut at No. 1 singles
(March 1, 2026) – Montana State sophomore Yassin Elaroussy won his first match playing No. 1 singles for the Bobcats, but Portland topped MSU 6-1 in Portland on Sunday.
Elaroussy defeated Nikola Keremedchiev 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 for his second win of the weekend. On Saturday, he took a straight-set win against Portland State at No. 2 singles. Elaroussy's win followed the doubles point and Cade Fernando's win over MSU's Oumar Diallo at No. 3 to take a 2-0 lead.
Andre Stewart lost a narrow 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-3) decision at the second ladder spot. Stevan Skobelev beat MSU's David Ismanescu 7-5, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, UP's Tannor Binder topped Camille Chantron 6-4, 6-4 in the fifth position, and Gian Manhas defeated Max Calaquian 6-3, 6-2 at the bottom position.
Montana State's next match is Saturday at Utah in Salt Lake City.
