More than 16,000 fans pour into Fieldhouse during the Spring Rodeo
BOZEMAN, Mont. (April 14, 2026) – Montana State cowboys and cowgirls made history on the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse dirt last weekend, and Bobcat fans did so at the turnstiles.
The annual MSU Spring Rodeo drew its largest four-day crowd in history, with 16,274 fans filling Worthington Arena to watch Montana State win both the men's and women's competition of both weekend rodeos. The Friday and Saturday night performances sold out (more than 4,600 for each session), while the Thursday and Sunday crowds were among the largest in event history for those sessions.
"Last weekend was a defining moment for Bobcat Rodeo," said MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello. "To see our student-athletes achieve that level of success in the arena while our community showed up in record numbers speaks to the pride and momentum surrounding the program. The support we're seeing across all our programs right now is truly unprecedented, and it's something our student-athletes feel every time they compete. Our fans truly make a difference, and their support is greatly appreciated."
The weekend extended a trend of MSU fans supporting Bobcat student-athletes to an unprecedented degree. Montana State drew 21,609 fans to its 10 home football games in 2025, a school record and second-most in the FCS. MSU also led the Big Sky Conference in women's and men's basketball attendance for consecutive seasons.
