Bobcat Student-Athletes Excel in the Classroom

MSU posts another strong academic semester
BOZEMAN, Mont. (June 2, 2026) – Montana State student-athletes posted another exceptional semester in the classroom during the spring, Bobcat Director of Athletics Leon Costello announced Tuesday.
Bobcat NCAA student-athletes compiled an average grade point average of 3.46 (out of 4.0), paced by the women's cross country's 3.785 and women's Nordic skiing's 3.770 and women's basketball's 3.733. Every MSU NCAA team compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20.
On an individual level, 45 of Montana State's 268 NCAA student-athletes earned all A's to land on the President's List, while 127 made the Dean's List. Of the 357 total student-athletes, including spirit squad and rodeo, 288 posted a GPA of 3.0 or better.
