Olivia Lane enters her first season as an assistant coach for Montana State track and field in 2024-2025.
Lane will coach the triple jump, long jump, and multi-events.
The native of Clarkston, Washington, comes to Bozeman after two seasons as an assistant at the University of North Dakota. While in Grand Forks, Lane coached sprints, jumps, hurdles, and multi's.
Lane also coached at Ashland University in 2021-2022, where she helped the Eagles' men's team finish as the national runner-up at the 2022 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Lane was a standout heptathlete at Eastern Oregon, earning All-American honors with a 9th place finish at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 2021 and a 12th place finish at the national meet in 2019. Lane also placed eighth in the pentathlon to earn an All-American nod at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in 2020.
Lane obtained her bachelor's degree in communication from Eastern Oregon University in 2021 and is scheduled to receive her master's degree in communication from the University of North Dakota in 2025.
