Andrew Williams serves as the Director of Equipment Operations – Brick Breeden Fieldhouse for the Montana State Athletics Department, a role he began on February 16. In this position, Williams oversees the preparation, maintenance, and management of athletic equipment for multiple varsity programs, ensuring that student-athletes are properly outfitted for practices and competitions.
Williams is responsible for maintaining and repairing uniforms and equipment, managing inventory systems, and tracking the issuance and condition of athletic gear across sports. He plays a key role in equipment budgeting, purchasing, and vendor relations, working closely with Game One and Under Armour to coordinate orders and maximize departmental resources. Additionally, he supervises and trains student workers, manages scheduling, and ensures the equipment room operates efficiently to support all athletic programs. A critical component of his role includes properly fitting athletic gear to ensure the safety and performance of student-athletes.
He serves as the primary equipment contact for a wide range of sports, including women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, track and field and cross country, rodeo, skiing, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s golf, and the spirit squad, while also assisting with football operations as needed.
Prior to joining Montana State, Williams gained valuable experience across both collegiate and professional athletics. He served as a Seasonal Equipment Assistant with the Atlanta Falcons from 2022 to 2023, worked as the Head Student Manager at Middle Tennessee State University from 2023 to 2025, and most recently was a Full-Time Equipment Assistant with the United Football League’s St. Louis Battlehawks from 2025 to 2026.
Williams began his collegiate career at Middle Tennessee State before transferring to the University of North Georgia, where he earned an associate’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2025.
Originally from Athens, Georgia, Andrew now resides in Bozeman, Montana.
