The Montana State women's tennis team swept the doubles point and captured the top three singles spots to cruise to a 5-2 win over Idaho State, Saturday afternoon in Reed Gym giving the Bobcats a sweep of the ISU-Weber State road swing.
“The girls are starting to play with a lot of confidence and things are starting to click, especially at the top of the line-up,” said MSU head coach Denise Albrecht. “I'm really pleased with the effort we had in doubles, and that really set the tone for the rest of the match.”
After capturing the first point of the match in doubles action, freshman Charlotta Hjalmarsson notched a 6-4, 6-2 win over Rilee Moorhead to put MSU 2-0. Consecutive wins by Laura Villegas and Ali Griffin gave the Bobcats the victory.
MSU's final point came at No. 5 singles as Andrea De La Torre recorded a 6-0, 7-5 victory over ISU's Madison Snevily.
