Bobcat Women’s Tennis Team Wins Big Sky Opener at Northern Colorado

The Montana State women’s tennis team rebounded from a sluggish start in doubles play to sweep all six singles matches, en route to a 6-1 victory over Northern Colorado, Sunday afternoon in the Big Sky Conference opener for both schools.
The Montana State women's tennis team rebounded from a sluggish start in doubles play to sweep all six singles matches, en route to a 6-1 victory over Northern Colorado, Sunday afternoon in the Big Sky Conference opener for both schools.
Northern Colorado took all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the contest. The Bears secured the doubles point with identical 6-3 wins at Nos. 1 and 2.
Montana State (3-2, 1-0) quickly evened the match as freshman Chloe Goyette posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Beth Coton at the No. 2 spot. MSU's top player Laura Middel followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 and the Bobcats didn't look back sweeping the final four matches.
Montana State will play at Portland State next Sunday.
