Montana State Earns First League Win of 2018 by Topping Weber State

MSU faces Utah State in Logan on Sunday
Rok Sitar captured a 7-5, 6-7, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles to cap a come-from-behind win as Montana State defeated Weber State 4-3 in Big Sky Conference tennis action at Ogden on Friday.
The win was MSU's first of the season, and it comes in the team's first league match of 2018. It also came in comeback fashion.
"The guys kept competing," said MSU coach Jared Burnham, "kept getting after it. I'm really happy for them, it's a great win for us."
Sitar's win came just after Joaquin Espinoza earned a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 5 singles to square the match at 3-3. After Montana State won the doubles point, the Cats dropped singles matches at numbers 6, 3, and 1, to fall behind 3-1. Adrian Torrico earned a 7-6, 6-1 win to get MSU in the win column in singles competition.
The day began in impressive fashion for MSU when the Cats swept the doubles matches. Alex Flink and Sitar won at No. 1, Torrico and Kasper Parlklo won at No. 2, and Espinoza and Mateus Ceolin earned a win at No. 3.
The Bobcats remain on the road this weekend, facing Utah State in Logan on Sunday.
