Despite ten kills and nine digs from senior Natalie Passeck the Montana State volleyball team dropped a 25-22, 25-14, 25-23 decision to Wyoming to conclude play at the North Portland Marriott Invite on Saturday afternoon in Chiles Center.
Wyoming (5-1) jumped out to a 17-10 lead in the first set, before Montana State (2-4) answered with a 12-7 run to close to within 24-22. The Cowgirls took the opening set following a Bobcat ball handling error. UW went up 2-0 cruising to a second set win outhitting MSU .323 to .028.

"It was a tough weekend," said MSU head coach Daniel Jones. "We either win or we learn, and we've learned a lot about ourselves from a team chemistry standpoint along with the tactical and technical aspects. We have work to do. Monday can't come quick enough for us to get into the gym again and continue our growth."
Three Bobcats reached double-figure digs led by libero Allyssa Rizzo with 20 saves. Lexi Goroski and Hannah Scott added 11 and ten digs, respectively. White finished with a team-high three blocks.
Passeck, who was named to the all-tournament team, finished the contest with a .300 attack mark.
Montana State will travel to Fort Worth, Texas next weekend for the TCU Fight in the Fort Tournament.
