Saturday, MSU will take the short drive south to sunny San Diego for Point Loma Nazarene University's Ross and Sharon Irwin Meet. There, 26 teams — including nine Division I schools — will compete against each other. The meet begins with the men's hammer throw and the women's javelin throw at 10 a.m. MT, then the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase will kick off the track action at 12:30 p.m. MT. Montana State will look to capitalize on a solid indoor track and field season, which saw the women's team place second and the men's team place third at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships. Individually, MSU brings back nine of its program-record 17 West Regional qualifiers and four NCAA National Championship participants from last year: Duncan Hamilton, Lucy Corbett, Levi Taylor and Colby Wilson.
