
Bobcat Nordic Squad Opens MSU Invitational Friday Morning

The MSU Invitational is part of the 2025 Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) circuit, and this weekend’s Nordic races will also run in conjunction with The Mountain Project MSU U. S. Ski and Snowboard SuperTour, presented by the National Nordic Foundation.
The Montana State Nordic ski team opens the MSU Invitational on Friday with the women's and men's 20K Freestyle mass start beginning at 10 a.m. at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center.
The MSU Invitational is part of the 2025 Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) circuit, and this weekend's Nordic races will also run in conjunction with The Mountain Project MSU U. S. Ski and Snowboard SuperTour, presented by the National Nordic Foundation.
The Bobcats, along with RMISA members Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Fairbanks, Colorado, Denver and Utah, race Friday, and Sunday with the 7.5K classic beginning with the women's event a 9 a.m.
Last week the RMISA and SuperTour competed at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah.
The SuperTour is the Nordic equivalent of a NorAm or continental cup race in alpine, just a step below World Cup level, and essentially the pro level for the U.S. The event will see the top NCAA athletes in the country compete against the top professional cross-country skiers in the U.S, and top junior athletes from around the western United States and Canada.
The alpine portion of the MSU Invitational is slated for Feb. 3-4 at Bridger Bowl.
