“I am incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of this event,” Perez said. “TopConnect has been providing valuable experiences for assistant coaches, and I can’t wait to learn from some of the best in college athletics.”
Montana State women's basketball assistant coach Devin Perez is participating in the prestigious 2025 TopConnect Basketball Symposium beginning Monday, June 9 at the Marriott Village in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
TopConnect, developed by Eastern Tennessee State Athletic Director Dr. Richard Sander, identifies the top assistant basketball coaches in the country and connects them with mid-major athletic directors providing tremendous development opportunities.
"I am incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of this event," Perez said. "TopConnect has been providing valuable experiences for assistant coaches, and I can't wait to learn from some of the best in college athletics."
In its eighth year, TopConnect develops educational programming that allows top assistant coaches to learn from a variety of successful leaders and speakers. The 2025 symposium includes, Mark Benson, University of Albany; Anthony Henderson, Hampton University; Mark Wharton, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, Nico Yantko of Murray State University, and Jon Schemmel of University of South Dakota.
This past winter, Perez, who has served under MSU head coach Tricia Binford for two seasons, helped the Bobcats to a school record 30-4 season which included winning the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament titles- making the programs fourth NCAA appearance in school history.
Symposium discussions will center on NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), the House Settlement, perspectives of first-time head coaches and networking.
