BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana State women's basketball team got a strong start to the 2026-27 campaign, defeating Cedarville 102-42 in Wednesday night's exhibition matchup.
Â
On their home court in front of over 1,000 fans, the Bobcats jumped ahead to a staggering lead in the first quarter, which held throughout the game. 13 of 14 on Montana State's roster made an appearance, with 11 players accounting for multiple points.
Â
Addison Harris was the offensive leader for MSU, recording a double-double with nearly 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kadynce Couture, Madison O'Connor, Teagan Erickson, and Brianne Bailey all reached double-digits as well.
Â
As a team, the Bobcats shot over 40% from behind the three-point arc. Montana State's defense limited the Yellow Jackets with 15 steals and scored 26 points off turnovers.
Â
"There are going to be a lot of games down the stretch where it takes everybody we've got to get a win," head coach Tricia Binford said. "A huge part of our success is the complete team effort we bring to every game. I am really proud of our newcomers and the performances they put up tonight. It was great to see fans back in the Brick so early in October, and we're looking forward to what comes next."
Â
Binford's Bobcats return to the court on Sunday, Oct. 25 as they host South Dakota Mines in the second and final exhibition of the preseason. Montana State's regular season opener is Monday, Nov. 2, when the Bobcats host Black Hills State. Single-game and season tickets are on sale now.
