Montana State tied for 14th place after 36 holes in Broken Arrow, Okla.
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. --- The Montana State women's golf team concluded the first day of the Route 66 Invitational in a tie for 14th place after a difficult 36 holes at the Golf Club of Oklahoma on Monday.
The Bobcats concluded the first two rounds with a team score of 622, posting round scores of 313 and 309 in Broken Arrow, Okla. "A tough couple of rounds for us today," Montana State head coach Brittany Basye said. "I think we got in our own heads a little bit, and we need to figure out how to get out of our own way. We'll have some good conversations tonight about the mental side of the game, trusting our swings, and playing with confidence.
"This is a great golf course, and we just need to get the ball rolling, make some putts, and believe in what we're doing. The good thing about golf is that tomorrow brings another opportunity. We have 18 holes left to go out, compete, trust our games, and finish our fall season strong. I'm looking forward to seeing how these ladies respond tomorrow."
