(Feb. 28, 2026) – Portland State's Edoardo Cravanzola earned a three-set win over Bobcat sophomore Camille Chantron to clinch the Vikings' 4-3 Big Sky men's tennis win over Montana State in Portland on Saturday.
The Vikings captured the doubles point and jumped out to a 3-1 lead by answering Bobcat Oumar Diallo's 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles with victories at the top and bottom ladder positions. PSU's Aarjun Pandit topped junior Andre Stewart 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1, then Hampus Hagglund edged MSU sophomore Eddie Biss 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6 singles.
The Bobcats responded. Yassin Elaroussy, a sophomore, fought to a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles, then freshman David Ismanescu's three-set win (6-4, 6-7, 6-0) set up the deciding match at No. 4.
Portland State set the stage for its win by sweeping the doubles point. Pandit and Ignacia Ruiz topped Chantron and Biss 6-4, then Cravanzola and Maas Schotanus earned a 6-3 win over Stewart and Diallo.
The Bobcats fall to 3-5 overall, 0-1 in Big Sky play, with the loss. PSU is now 4-6, 1-0.
