Women's Hoops Releases 2026-27 Schedule

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Montana State head women's basketball coach Tricia Binford announced the Bobcats' complete 2026-27 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 14 home games, 10 non-conference matchups, and 20 Big Sky contests.
"Our staff intentionally built a schedule that will challenge us both at home and on the road," Binford said. "We want to find out who we are when we face great competition in tough environments so we can perform at our best when the stakes are highest."
Entering her 22nd season at the helm of the program, Binford has led the Bobcats to their most successful seasons to date in the last two years. Montana State returns 10 players to the court for the upcoming season, including Big Sky MVP and two-time Defensive Player of the Year Taylee Chirrick and first-team All-Big Sky selection Addison Harris.
"We have such a unique group this year with our 10 returning players, and we've added four newcomers with a ton of talent," Binford said. "The team worked hard this summer, and we are ready to attack the court with just as much energy as we had in March."
The 2026-27 season will provide its share of challenges as the Cats look to carry on the successful momentum of the Binford era and improve upon their 27-8 record last year. The season's slate includes nine teams that reached the 20-win mark and four NCAA tournament teams.
Monday, Nov. 2 marks the beginning of the 2026-27 season as the Bobcats host Black Hills State in the first of 14 scheduled home contests. The Cats will head to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes on Nov. 19. The Midwestern powerhouse will be the first of a pair of Big Ten foes for Montana State this season, as the Cats will head south to Eugene for a rematch with the Oregon Ducks on Dec. 19.
Thanksgiving week will be spent in Florida, as the Bobcats are slated for a pair of games against Oklahoma and MTSU between Nov. 23 and 25 at the Jacksonville Classic.
Cat fans can circle their calendars for the Big Sky opener on Dec. 5 when Northern Arizona will make an appearance in Bozeman for an early-season conference matchup. The turn of the year brings Big Sky basketball into full swing as the Bobcats travel to Portland State on Dec. 31 and Northern Colorado on Jan. 2.
After a recent addition to the conference, the Bobcats will face a pair of new Big Sky opponents in Southern Utah and Utah Tech. The annual Cat-Griz showdowns will be in Bozeman on Jan. 17 and Missoula on Feb. 27. MSU will look to make its third consecutive appearance in the Big Sky Championship at the conference tournament in Boise, Idaho, which begins on March 5.
"Bobcat Nation has played a huge role in our success on the court," Binford said. "We have led the Big Sky in attendance the last two years, and are so excited to have our fans back in the Brick for every home game this season."
