USAFA Parachute team to descend into Bobcat Stadium this weekend
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Aug. 28, 2026) – Montana State Athletics adds a touch of blue to its Gold Rush game next weekend, announcing on Friday a performance by the U.S. Air Force Academy's Wings of Blue parachute demonstration team at halftime of Saturday's Bobcat season opener against Butler.
Kickoff for Saturday's Gold Rush game is 6:30 pm, with the Wings of Blue set to parachute into Bobcat Stadium at halftime. The performance by USAFA's official parachute team, sponsored by Bozeman's Hilton Garden Inn, brings a longstanding tradition of excellence in precision parachuting to MSU's season opener.
The group is comprised of U.S. Air Force Academy cadets who combine their military and academic responsibilities with extensive parachute training. In addition to public demonstrations, the group serves as jumpmasters and instructors for the Academy's Basic Freefall Parachuting course.
The Wings of Blue demonstrates teamwork, professionalism and precision for audiences across the country. Bobcat fans are encouraged to remain in their seats at halftime for this addition to one of the school's great football traditions.
The parachute team jumps out of a Montana Air National Guard C-130 on Saturday. The flight crew features a brother-sister duo with deep MSU connections, Aaron Foster and Allyson Foster. This year's Bobcats feature Air Force graduate transfer tight end Bruin Fleischmann, who joins his brother Titan Fleischmann, an All-America offensive lineman and team captain at MSU.
