Montana State (This Year) Returns to the squad as a reserve cornerback... not eligible for competition after transferring back to MSU. (2014) Spent the season at Western Oregon. (2013) Saw limited game action. (2012) Redshirted at MSU.
High School Capped a sesational senior season by being selected to the 38th Annual All-Star Football Game in 2012... was the Palo Alto HS 2011 defensive team captain and Co-Defensive MVP, earning All-SCVAL DeAnza Division and Central Coast Outstanding Outside Linebacker honors... he also earned All-SCVAL De Anza Division and All-Central Coast Section honors, as well... he was All-Mercury News Second Team linebacker... helped lead team to De Anza Division championship and CCS second place finish in 2011... was a Max Prep Athlete of the Week once, Cal-Hi Sports Athlete of the Week once, and Palo Alto Weekly Co-Athlete of the Week once and Honorable Mention Athlete of the Week once, all during his senior season... rushed for 693 yards with 14 touchdowns on 90 carries as a senior... also logged 83 tackles and 4.5 sacks... as a junior, earned CIF California Division 1 State Championship Game Top Defensive Player honors, along with All-De Anza League Second Team honors at linebacker... helped lead team to CCS Open Division and De Anza Division championships, with his team finishing ranked 13th in the final National Guard national prep rankings in 2010...Gates-Mouton was a 2012 track team captain, finishing 7th in the CIF California State 4 x 100 m championship, finishing first in the CIF CCS and SCVAL in that event, and helping lead his team to a CCS All-Section team title as a senior... as a junior, his relay team was 12th in the state and third in the CCS in the 4 x 100, a squad which also set a school record... he earned the VB Coaches Award as a junior, as well.
