Alita Zignego joined the Montana State Women's Tennis program as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2022. In Bozeman, Zignego has coached alongside Suzie Woodburn and most recently Hailey Barrett.
Zignego brings a variety of coaching experience to Bozeman, serving as the Head Tennis Pro at Maui Country Club, an Assistant Tennis Pro at Moraga Country Club, and several years of private coaching work.
She was a multi-sport athlete at Saint Mary's College in California, earning four varsity letters in volleyball and two in tennis. With the Gaels, Zignego led the volleyball team in digs as the starting libero and helped SMC to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2008. She competed on the tennis team during her final two years of college and was named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention team after compiling a 5-2 record against conference opponents as a senior.
