Holoakea Husen returns to Montana State as the Director of Marketing and Game Operations in 2024-25.
A graduate of MSU in 2023 with a degree in Business - Marketing and a 2022-2023 Intern of Bobcat Athletics spent a year away from Bozeman before returning to continue building Montana State's historic brand.
After graduation from Montana State, Holoakea spent the summer of 2023 helping build the in-stadium and TV shows for newly erected Pioneer Leage Baseball's Glacier Range Riders. Holoakea's duties included in-game producing, TV coordination, and fan engagement. He also assisted with content creation, digital media, and community outreach in the Flathead Valley.
Shortly after leaving the Range Riders, Holoakea was named the first Director of Digital at NCAA Division III Pacific University. In Forest Grove he built the in-arena and live stream experiences for all athletic events, managed the Boxers Digital footprint, and was the lead creative for all material from the Pacific Athletic department. Holoakea also built the Boxer Crew, Pacific's all student-run and student-led sports production team. The Boxer Crew was seen as a step forward in abilities and an incredible opportunity for students to get hands-on experience. The Boxer Crew has been continued since Holoakea's departure and continues to thrive under the direction of student producers and technical directors.
Originally from Corvallis, Oregon, Holoakea grew up playing every sport until he was sidelined with Scoliosis and Kyphosis at age 14. At age 16 he had spinal fusion surgery to rectify the deformities of his spine. Post-op Holoakea turned to a love of music playing drums, guitar, ukulele, and piano in school and garage bands with his buddies.
Holoakea is joined in Bozeman with his Wife Ellie and their Siamese cat Hina.
