Jake Dusenbury joined the Bobcat coaching staff in 2022 as a defensive analyst, holding that position through three of the best defensive seasons in Montana State's recent history. MSU finished in the top 50 in total defense and scoring defense in each of those seasons, including 15th in total defense and 11th in scoring defense in 2024. He was promoted to defensive line assistant in 2025. Dusenbury's coaching career began as an undergraduate assistant at Kansas State (2016-20), and continued as a special teams quality control analyst at USC in 2020-21.
