Pete Heim serves as the Associate Athletic Director of External Relations / Revenue Generation for the Montana State Athletic Department, a role he began on August 15, 2025. In this position, Heim oversees all facets of Athletic External Relations, including marketing, athletic ticketing, creative services, social media, athletics communications, multimedia rights, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.
Before joining Montana State, Heim built a distinguished career in collegiate athletics. From 2019 to 2025, he served as the Associate Athletic Director of Ticket Operations and Sales at the University of Arkansas. Prior to that, he held the same title at the University of Houston from 2016 to 2018, and worked as the Director of Ticketing at the University of Alabama from 2014 to 2016. He also spent six years at Duke University as Assistant Director of Ticket Operations (2008–2014), and began his career in athletics as a Senior Ticket Sales Assistant at the University of Tennessee (2007–2008).
Heim holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the State University of New York – College at Cortland (2004) and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University at Albany (2007). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health, Sport, and Exercise Science from the University of Arkansas.
Pete resides in Bozeman with his wife, Cyndi, and their two daughters, Sofia and Evelyn.
