Northern Arizona junior point-guard Vickie Toney ran through the Montana State defense to post a team-high 19 points to lift the Lumberjacks to a 76-64 victory, Thursday night in Worthington Arena.

“We didn't contain their point-guard and she was a difference maker,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford.
The opening stanza featured 10 ties, and Northern Arizona (5-15, 3-4) received a jumper from Melissa Spaich with 15-seconds left in the half to take a 31-29 advantage at intermission.
In the second period, the Lumberjacks built the lead to 49-39 at the 13:06 mark, but Montana State (9-11, 2-5) cut the margin in half following a Katie Bussey three-pointer.
NAU answered with a six unanswered points to stake a 64-53 advantage with 4:14 remaining on an Amy Patton steal and layin.
Bussey paced the Bobcats in the loss with a game-high 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Also in double-figures was Sarah Strand with 12 points.
