Bobcats Lose Orenzo Davis for 2011 Season

Standout running back academically ineligible
Montana State running back Orenzo Davis has failed to meet academic eligibility standards and will miss the 2011 football season, Bobcat coach Rob Ash said Thursday.
Davis rushed for 1,126 yards last fall, the 11th-best season in school history, and helped spark the Bobcats to the Big Sky title. He became ineligible after the spring semester, and Ash indicated the senior from Littleton, Colo., has the option of enrolling at MSU in the fall of 2011, utilizing his redshirt season, and working toward restored eligibility for 2012.
