Bobcats Log 4-0 Win over Idaho State
Short and sweet.
Montana State's women's tennis team wrapped up a berth in the 2013 Big Sky Conference Championships Sunday with a 4-0 win over Idaho State. The Bobcats swept to straight-set wins over ISU in the first four singles matches, and didn't complete the No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches or the doubles point.
Paulina Lopez earned MSU's easiest win, a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 3 singles over Svenja Tegtmeier. Ellie Crum's 6-3, 6-3 win over Madelyn Weltzin also came without much difficulty. Char Hjalmarsson (6-1, 7-6 at No. 1 over Marian Tangarife) and Iva Parapunova (7-6, 6-4 at No. 2 over Kasey Bacon) also posted wins.
MSU enters the six-team Big Sky Tournament as the sixth seed, and faces NAU on Thursday in Sacramento.
