The Bobcats will look to snap a five-match losing streak this weekend against Idaho and Eastern Washington.
BOBCATS HOST LAST WEEKEND SERIES:
The Montana State volleyball squad will host its last weekend series of the season. MSU will face Big Sky newcomer Idaho on Thursday, Oct. 30, followed by Eastern Washington, Saturday, Nov. 1. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. in Shroyer Gym. The Bobcats will celebrate its Senior Night, Thursday, Nov. 13 against Weber State.
'CAT CHAT:

MSU's last win came in a 3-0 decision over Southern Utah in Cedar City on Oct. 9...MSU is listed 270 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings. New Mexico State, a team the Bobcats defeated 3-1 in August for its best victory of the 2014 campaign, is listed at 134. The highest ranking of a 2014 MSU opponent is Utah at 55. The top three Big Sky schools are Northern Colorado 98, Northern Arizona 116 and Idaho State 134...Montana State is averaging 869 fans per match, which ranks 55th in the nation, and ahead of such programs as Clemson, Oklahoma, Utah, Cal and Washington State...Montana State dropped a 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 decision to Sacramento State on Friday night and a 25-19, 25-23, 25-21 setback to Portland State on Saturday evening.
SCOUTING THE VANDALS & EAGLES:
Idaho (11-11, 7-3) The Vandals saw its four-match Big Sky win streak come to an end as Idaho State swept Idaho 3-0 on Saturday night. The loss in Memorial Gym was the first for UI in conference play on its home court. The Vandals handed Montana State a 25-10, 25-13, 25-21 setback two weeks ago. The Bobcats were led in the match by Loni Kreun with seven kills and a match-high 16 digs. Idaho was guided by Katelyn Peterson with 11 kills and ten digs. Eastern Washington (9-14, 5-5) will play at Montana on Thursday, before facing the Bobcats on Saturday. The Eagles have captured three of its last four matches, including a 25-9, 25-23, 25-18 victory over MSU two weeks ago in Cheney. Kennadie Clute paced MSU with 15 kills, while EWU was led by Allie Schumacher with eight kills and a .471 attack mark.
BITS AND PIECES:
Freshman Jolie Meade, a native of Rocklin, California, is second on the Bobcat squad hitting .305 from the field. Meade has been ranked among the top 125 hitters in the nation in terms of attack percentage and has been ranked among the top 15 freshmen in the category, as well...In Big Sky Conference action, Kennadie Clute is ranked second in the league, averaging 3.81 kills per set and is sixth in points at 122...Natalee Godfrey ranks second in Big Sky hitting percentage at .377...setter Katie Harrington is fourth in the league averaging 10.88 assists per set...libero Kasey Schlatter is fourth in the Big Sky at 4.62 dpg.
NOTICING NATALEE:
Junior middle blocker Natalee Godfrey has bounced back nicely from an early season injury to post an outstanding October, to date. In fact, Godfrey has only committed 15 hitting errors in her last 128 swings. For the month, the Eugene, Oregon product is averaging 2.75 kills per set, while hitting a whopping .398 from the field. Godfrey had a season-high 13 kills against Northern Arizona three weeks ago.
KILLING IT:
For the month of October, sophomore Kennadie Clute has led MSU with 94 kills, averaging 3.92 per set.
DIGGING IT:
Kasey Schlatter is first on the team averaging 4.11 digs per contest. The Canby, Oregon native has totaled 308 saves this fall, including being in double-digit digs in 18 of MSU's 22 matches. Schlatter posted a career-high 36 saves against Canisius on Sept. 5. That mark was two shy of the all-time Bobcat record of 38 held by Kandice Kelly and Meghan Albiston. For her career, Schlatter has logged 972 digs, which is ninth on the all-time Montana State digs list.
