Bobcats Roll Past MSU Billings in Men's Tennis

Saturday win serves as tune-up for national power Utah State on Sunday
Montana State used straight-set wins at four doubles spots to top a depleted MSU Billings squad 7-0 in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center on Saturday.
Senior Javier Martin-Morillas posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles and Andre Napoliatano won a rousing 7-5, 3-6, 10-4 match at No. 1 to lead the Bobcats. MSU won the doubles point with wins at both the top spots. MSU Billings played with only five athletes, defaulting at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
"I thought it was a solid effort," said Bobcat coach Jared Burnham. "Javy played well, and he and Nik (Brandes) played well (at No. 1 doubles). It was a good tune-up. I'm interested to see how we play tomorrow, it will be a battle."
The Bobcats host Utah State, a nationally-ranked squad for much of the young season, at 9 am in Bozeman on Sunday.
