Montana State Men Opens 2018 Tennis Season with Loss at Utah

Senior Rok Sitar leads Bobcats in opener
Senior Rok Sitar captured Montana State's only set as Pac 12 entry Utah swept the Bobcats 7-0 in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Playing at No. 2 singles, Sitar took Utah's Sava Shainyan to a third set before falling 4-6, 7-6, 10-6. That gave MSU its only set win of Friday, although Alexander Flink (a 6-4, 6-3 loss) at the top ladder spot and No. 6 singles Grant Wood (6-1, 7-5) each competed well. MSU lost the doubles point on a pair of 6-2 decisions.
Montana State (0-1 overall) continues its season-opening road trip through Utah on Saturday, facing BYU at 11 am.
