Bobcats Complete First Day at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

Bozeman natives Kameryn Basye and Annika Danenhauer led the Montana State women’s golf team through the opening two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday
MARICOPA, Ariz. – Bozeman natives Kameryn Basye and Annika Danenhauer led the Montana State women's golf team through the opening two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday, April 5, at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Basye fired MSU's best 18-hole scores of the day. After shooting a 6-over-par 78 during the first round of action, she followed it with a 2-over 74. Her 152 strokes through 36 holes has her in a tie for 51st overall.
Danenhauer completed consistent rounds of 80 and 79 for Montana State. Her 159 has her tied for 90th in the individual standings.
Rounding out the Bobcat lineup after two rounds of play were Hailey Oster, Sofia Rodriguez Todd and Hannah Rosanova. Oster (162) is tied for 99th, Rodriguez Todd (165) is tied for 106th and Rosanova (166) is in 110th. MSU is 19th in the team standings with 637 strokes after tallying rounds of 320 and 317.
Brittany Shin of CSU Fullerton is the individual leader at 6-under 138. Grand Canyon sits atop the team standings with a 571.
The Wyoming Cowgirl Classic continues with a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday. The start time is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. MDT.
