The Mean Green rallied from a 37-20 deficit to post an 87-78 victory over the Bobcats...Leia Beattie posted a career-high 27 points as the Bobcats defeated San Jose State 74-65 in overtime on Tuesday night. For the contest, Beattie connected on 10-of-19 from the field, four-of-10 from long distance, and three-of-three at the line.
THE SCOUTING REPORT: Abilene Christian is 2-2 overall with victories over Howard Payne (89-37) and Southwest N.M. (77-36). Wildcat losses came at Rice (85-69) and at UTSA (76-70). ACU has been led by Maleeah Langstaff, who averages 14.3 points, while shooting 57.1%. Langstaff is a 5-11 grad student from Asheville, N.C. The forward is second on the squad pulling down 4.8 rebounds per game. The Wildcats are members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). North Texas is 1-2 overall and plays Louisiana before facing the Bobcats. UNT's victory was a 71-58 decision over Texas A&M-Texarkana. Losses have been to Stephen F. Austin and Wichita State.
