HIGH SCHOOL:
As senior at Redwood High School, Kast led the Rangers to a 23-5 overall mark...Averaged 19 points, 15 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals in her last year with the RSH...Was named first-team all-state and West Yosemite League MVP...Also garnered Tulare County Player of the Year accolades...As a junior averaged 11.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.2 blocks, 2.4 steals and 1.8 assists per game....Was a Fresno Bee All-Star selection...named most valuable defensive player and was a Tulare County first-team honoree...Kast helped lead RHS to the WYL championship..En route to the title, the Rangers knocked off perennial conference power Hanford High School, who owned a 96-game league winning streak...In the game, Kast posted 15 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, four blocks and four assists...Prior to Redwood High School, Kast played her freshman and sophomore seasons at San Joaquin Memorial in Fresno, California...Was a two-year starter at SJM...Was a two-time first-team All-CMAC pick...As a sophomore, Kast garnered honorable-mention Fresno Bee accolades.
