FRESHMAN (2021-22):
Hughes played in 16 games, including starting the first three contests of the season…averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game…posted a season-high seven points and six rebounds at North Dakota on November 20…went seven-of-eight from the line at UND…pulled down six rebounds in season debut against Carroll College…for the season was 16-of-17 (94.1%) from the charity stripe…had three steals and two assists on the season…averaged 7.0 minutes per outing.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Was a two-time 4A KingCo Player of the Year…garnered 2020 4A state tournament MVP honors despite her team dropping a 59-55 loss to Central Valley in the championship game, scoring 28 points…finished the season averaging 22.2 points, 8.4 rebounds as WHS went 28-1 overall…is a four-time 4A First-Team All-State honoree and a three-time KingCo all-conference pick…led the Falcons to two Washington 4A state runner-up finishes…recorded a school-record 1,890 career points and holds the single-game mark with 38 points… the course of her career with the Falcons, averaged 21 points and 7.6 rebounds, while shooting 51.9% from the field…member of 2019 Seattle Times All-Star team…was a Washington Gatorade Player of the Year nominee, as well as a USA Today girls’ basketball player of the year nominee…an outstanding student, was a National Honor Society member and is a King County Sheriff's Office explorer and volunteer…was a 2021 DECA International finalist…earned associate degree from Cascadia College in 2021.
