The Montana State women's basketball team will play at the Seattle U Tournament this weekend.

Next Up: The Montana State women's basketball team is enjoying its current two-game winning streak, which includes road victories over Florida International and Southern Utah. The Bobcats are currently 2-2 overall heading into its third week of non-conference action. MSU will face host Seattle in the opening round of SU's Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday night. The Redhawks are 0-4 on the season with its last two losses coming at UC Riverside and San Diego. MSU's other potential opponent will be either Arkansas-Little Rock or Bowling Green. BGSU is currently 3-1 overall. After losing by one-point at Evansville, the Falcons have rattled off three straight. BGSU will face Detroit-Mercy before making the trek West. UARL is 2-1 overall and are coming off a win at Louisiana Tech. The Trojans are currently receiving votes in the USA Today-ESPN Top 25 Coaches poll. Following the SU Tournament, MSU will return home- after starting with six games on the road- on November 30 against Denver.
Name Change(s): A pair of Bobcats underwent name changes during the summer. Associate head coach Amy Saneholtz married Montana State men's assistant coach Temesghen Starr on June 4, 2010, while senior forward Sarah Strand married Aaron Balian on Aug. 17, 2010.
Hard Block Cafe: Last season, Montana State shattered all of the Bobcat block records. Senior Sarah Balian set a new single-season mark with 66 swats, including a record-breaking game high of seven against Sacramento State. Strand is MSU's all-time career blocks leader with 122 in 97 games. As a team, the Bobcats recorded an all-time high 173 blocks. Balain was the 2009-10 Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year and an All Big Sky Conference second team selection.
Dialing Long Distance: Junior Katie Bussey is third on Montana State's all-time three-point makes list with 123 treys. Last winter, Bussey converted 78-of-186 attempts from long distance. Bussey garnered All Big Sky Conference honorable mention kudos last March. Senior Sarah Balian is currently seventh all-time with 100 three-pointers. Lyndi Seidensticker is getting close to breaking into MSU's all-time top list with 87 triples.
Noting the Bobcat Women: Montana State head coach Tricia Binford needs just one more victory to move into sole possession of second place on the all-time MSU coaching wins chart. Binford is currently tied for second at 69 victories with Gary Schwartz, who accomplished the feat from1985-89. MSU's all-time winningest coach is Judy Spoelstra, who notched 98 victories from 1989-95...Lyndi Seidensticker leads all Big Sky Conference seniors in scoring at 16.5 points per game...Katie Bussey leads all Big Sky juniors in scoring at 15 points per game...freshman Chelsea Banis is leading all Big Sky rookies shooting 51 percent from the field...Lyndi Seidensticker leads the Big Sky connecting on 5.3 three-pointers per contest.
