Bobcat Women Host Colorado State Tuesday Night

The Montana State women’s basketball team, fresh off its victory over Valparaiso at the Colorado-Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, returns to Worthington Arena for a pair of homes games. The Bobcats will tip-off the week against Colorado State, Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7:05 p.m

A QUICK TURNAROUND:
The Montana State women's basketball team, fresh off its victory over Valparaiso at the Colorado-Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, returns to Worthington Arena for a pair of homes games. The Bobcats will tip-off the week against Colorado State, Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7:05 p.m., and will host Utah State, Friday, Dec. 2, also at 7:05 p.m.

Katie Bussey notched a game-high 21 points and Ashley Albert chipped in 18 as the Bobcats used a late second-half run to defeat Valparaiso 71-55, Saturday night at the Colorado-Omni Hotels Classic. Bussey connected on 8-of-12 from the field, including three 3-pointers. Eleven of Bussey's points came in the closing minutes of the first half. The Bobcats broke away from a 43-all tie with 8 minutes left with a 20-4 run. Chelsea Banis had a team-high nine rebounds for MSU. Also in double-figure scoring for the 6th consecutive game was Rachel Semansky, who finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Ausha Cole paced MSU for the 3rd straight game with five assists. On Friday, MSU rallied from a 13-point first half deficit to tie the game midway through the second half, but a late Wisconsin run gave the Badgers a 71-61 victory. The Bobcats were led by Albert, who scored a career-high 20 points, while pulling down eight rebounds. Also in double-figures for MSU were Bussey 19 and Semansky 13. Cole led MSU dishing out a game-high seven assists.
