Bobcats Fall Short at San Jose State

MSU comeback comes up just short in Bay area
Montana State cut a 23-point deficit to two in the last two minutes, but a Rod Singleton three-pointer missed the mark and MSU could get no closer, falling at San Jose State 77-73 on Tuesday.
After Bobby Howard made one of two free throws to pull MSU to within three, Rod Singleton was fouled intentionally. He hit one of two free throws, but with the Bobcats trailing by two his three-pointer missed the mark, and San Jose State was able to build its lead back to six.
Erik Rush led the Bobcats with 20 points, while Singleton and Tre Johnson added 15 each. Adrian Oliver scored 35 points to lead the homestanding Spartans.
MSU trailed 46-25 after a poor-shooting first half, but shot nearly 50% in the second half.
