“Eastern Washington really came to play,” MSU Head Coach Kyle Weindel said. “All the credit in the world to how they battled. I don’t think we came to play, knowing the magnitude of the match. We will bounce back and be ready to battle with Idaho (tomorrow).”
Eastern Washington out-hit Montana State .341 to .110 and out-blocked the Bobcats 13-3, en route 25-9, 25-23, 25-18, Thursday on Reese Court.

Sophomore Kennadie Clute led Montana State (4-15, 1-6) with a match-high 15 kills, while Katie Harrington dished out 32 assists. Defensively, Kasey Schlatter paced MSU with 11 digs, while Jolie Meade and Loni Kreun added two blocks, apiece.
Eastern Washington (7-13, 3-4) was led by Melissa Waelter with nine kills.
The Bobcats will play at Big Sky Conference newcomer Idaho on Friday night.
