NEXT UP: The Bobcats will fly to Hawaii on Thursday and will compete in the Oregon State/Maui Jim Classic. The Cats open on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. (MT) against Utah State and finish the classic on Saturday against Nevada- also at 8 p.m. (MT). Montana State will travel to Oahu on Sunday, before facing the University of Hawaii in Honolulu on Monday, Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. (MT).
ON A SERIES NOTE: Montana State holds a 10-3 lead in its all-time series with Utah State dating back to the 1977-78 season. The Bobcats have won four of the last five meetings, however, the Aggies captured the last encounter on Nov. 14, 2016 with a 64-56 decision in Logan. MSU's last win was on Dec. 1, 2012 (71-65) also in Logan. Montana State leads Nevada 11-1 in the all-time series between the former Big Sky rivals going back to Jan. 2, 1986. The Bobcats have won three straight from the Wolf Pack, including the last meeting - a 66-53 decision on Nov. 15, 2015 in Reno. Montana State and the University of Hawaii have met just once, with the Bobcats handing the Rainbow Wahine a 62-60 setback on Dec. 2, 1983. The game was part of the Anheuser-Busch Classic and played in San Jose, California.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME: The Bobcats finished its 2016-17 home season with a perfect 13-0 mark. Its current 28-game home winning streak is second longest at the NCAA Division I level only behind UConn. The Huskies have won 68 straight. The 28-game home win streak is a Montana State school-record.
