A LITTLE ABOUT MONTANA STATE: Montana State returns ten players, including four starters, from last year's squad that posted a 17-16 overall mark – the program's 17th consecutive non-losing season – and a 10-8 in Big Sky record. The Bobcats added transfer Esmeralda Morales, a First Team All-Big Sky selection at Portland State, along with New Mexico transfer Hannah Robbins, during the offseason. Freshmen Teagan Erickson, Addison Harris and Taylee Chirrick round out the roster.
A LITTLE ABOUT TROY: Troy is coming off a 2023-24 campaign that saw the Trojans post a 22-12 overall ma4rk and a 15-3 (second) Sun Belt Conference slate. In postseason play, Troy advanced to the Fab 4 of the WNIT where it dropped a 74-69 decision at Minnesota. Head Coach Chanda Rigby welcomes back three letterwinners, including senior starter Shaulana Wagner, who averaged 4.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Nine newcomers dot the Trojans roster this season. Last Monday night, Troy dropped an 80-78 decision in its season opener at Buffalo. The Trojans had five players reach double-digits, paced by Briana Peguero with a team-best 15 points - all coming from beyond the arc. Fortuna Ngnawo, a 6-0 senior transfer from Cochise College, added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bobcats have posted five of the program's eight 20-win seasons in the last nine years, as well. MSU's last appearance in a NCAA Tournament game was at #1 Stanford on March 18, 2022. The Cardinal defeated MSU 78-37. Taylor Janssen had a team-high 12 points in the loss, while Stanford was led by Hannah Jump with 15. On March 18, 2017, the Bobcats suffered a 91-63 setback at Washington in the NCAAs.
