Villarejo attended IES Alameda de Osuna and Sra Marie de la Providencia coached by Paloma Diaz Sada. She has been ranked as high as No. 126 in Spain. Playing in youth leagues, Villarejo was first in the region for Division 2 competition. She was a quarterfinalist of the regional championship in Madrid juniors, a semifinalist in the Madrid women's tournament.
