Montana State junior Laura Mary had a strong weekend for Montana State playing at the top of the line-up. The product of Eaubonne, France defeated Sacramento State’s Maria Gonzalez 6-7(6), 7-5, 11-9, and led UC Davis’ Nikita Pradeep 6-4, 4-1 before the match was called as the Aggie’s took the final point at No. 3 singles.
– The Montana State women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches over the weekend in both Big Sky Conference and non-league action. The Bobcats suffered a 5-2 setback to perennial Big Sky power Sacramento State on Saturday, before concluding play on the other end of the causeway in a 4-0 decision to UC Davis, Sunday afternoon.
Montana State junior Laura Mary had a strong weekend for Montana State playing at the top of the line-up. Mary is 8-7 overall and boasts a solid 5-1 mark in Big Sky singles action.
Montana State's second point against the Hornets came from Annie Walker at No. 2 singles, where the Las Vegas native topped Jayden Nielsen, 6-4, retired.
Walker is 7-8 overall and 3-3 in league play.
Next weekend, Montana State will host Weber State and Northern Arizona, Friday and Saturday, respectively in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center
